God’s love all the time

Alright!  So I can’t turn the preacher off.  Everywhere I go I see people who are so casual about God.  They are living life and running after something they can’t even see and trying in some way to find happiness.  I want to stop and preach a sermon of God’s love all the time.  I feel as though I am in one of those movies where I am the only one in town who knows that the bad guy is manipulating everyone.  I guess our secular society has really done a good job getting people to downplay the importance of God in our world.  I am amazed how easy that is.  We have a God who can at any point in time turn our lives into pure joy and fulfillment.  He has proven it over and over and over again.  And yet, it seems like most people would rather believe the claims of advertisers and television, which by, the way have never worked for any significant length of time.
I know how this sounds.  It sounds like I want everyone to believe what I believe.  OK, that is true but not for the reasons that you might think.  It is simply that the God I know is so amazing and caring, that he really wants to bring fulfillment to every life.  Take the religious mumbo jumbo out of it.  A real God exists and meets us right where we are and deals with our real lives.  That’s just cool.  Being one that has known His forgiveness and His love, I can say with great confidence that He really does come through on all of His promises.  I hope that everyone who takes the time to read this will give Him the chance to prove Himself.
