 WIN #1 FOR NBUMC SOFTBALL TEAM!

March 27th, 2010 – NBUMC, 16 ; Harvest Church, 10

Our Men’s softball team scored their very first victory!  The team defeated Harvest Church with a decisive margin of 16 to 10.

The softball team made its debut in the Kennesaw Church Softball League in Fall 2009 and had a “perfect” run.  Despite that, the team had enjoyed playing the game and came back with a strong resolve this season – to continue enjoying the game.  Of course, adding several wins along the way would be a bonus that would allow them to enjoy the game more!

This slim defeat turned out to be a warm up for their victorious onslaught in the second game for the evening against Harvest Church. 

The spectators were far from sedate!  They went wild with the wave and their cheers!  That also added to the much needed fuel for team’s first victory!  Our spectator turn out has always been far greater in numbers than our opponents’.  More than that, they bring with them the enthusiasm and love for the sport and the team to create a carnival like environment.  They are often encouraging and congratulatory regardless of the outcome of the game.
