The New Stage Players drama troupe plays a vital role in bringing the lessons alive in Kidsplosion!, New Beginnings’ children’s worship service. The troupe also presents dramatic presentations during worship services and other events in the church and in the community. New Stage Players desires and intends for each presentation to not just be entertaining but to be poignant, thought provoking and challenging to their audience using Biblical themes and truths.
The troupe’s repertoire included an original Christmas musical-drama “The Redeeming King”, written by its director, Nanci Lamborn, and a dramatic dance interpretation to Everything by Lifehouse.
New Stage Players is working on a new production for Easter this year. They will hold a casting call on February 28th 2010 at 6:00pm. Anyone interested is welcome to try out and participants under 16 years old require permission from their parents they can be considered.
They are also working on an 8 week teaching drama series for children and are planning for a large scale sketch comedy fundraiser later in the year.
New Stage Players troupe welcomes participation from people who desire to minister to others through theatrical arts and entertainment regardless of age or amount of stage experience. Its participants varied in age, from infants to seniors; and theatre experience, from none to professional.
The troupe is also looking for non-acting crew, which includes writers, prop, set and costume designers, and audio-visual crew to join the team.
